Hi, I’m Kevin Kay!



With my background as a musician, in the legal field, and with over 30 years of experience in the sponsorship and music industry, I bring a diverse and well-rounded resume to The Strategic Sponsorship Academy.

In my career, I have worked in marketing and brand partnerships for some of the largest record companies in the world such as Chrysalis Records, Polydor Records, Island Records, V2 Records, Mercury Records, Dreamworks Records, Virgin Records, and Sony Music Nashville.

I have experience working at experiential marketing agencies, such as Jack Morton Worldwide, on global, digital music and brand initiatives, centered around strategic sponsorships.

I also have experience in the academic world. I was the first Chair of the Music Business and Entrepreneurship Department at the Detroit Institute of Music Education, as well as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in brand partnerships, music marketing and promotion, music publishing, and the domestic and international music industry.

Today, I am the President of a sponsorship consulting agency, The Entertainment Sponsorship Group, and an artist management company, K2 Artist Management.

And now, I am bringing all of my experience and knowledge in sponsorships and the music industry, to The Strategic Sponsorship Academy.
